After 5 minutes, Wellington Presilla mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.S. EMELEC and the C.S. ELEMELEC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Daniel Novales didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adrian Berges went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Xefe Almonacid was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Mellington Espinosa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mellington Espinosa really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. 17 minutes into the match, C.S. EMELEC's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Berges came free, but Daniel Novales reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. C.S. EMELEC's Daniel Novales played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Berges in the 23rd minute of play. Daniel Novales didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Milosz Jaszyna went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 39th match minute, C.S. EMELEC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hector Ariztimuño to maneuver through the defense. Xefe Almonacid was a little too slow when Mellington Espinosa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 2-2. 46 minutes into the match, Adrian Berges had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Daniel Novales. C.S. EMELEC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adrian Berges was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Genaro Ebro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Mellington Espinosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.S. EMELEC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mellington Espinosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xefe Almonacid breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Milosz Jaszyna managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.S. ELEMELEC's supporters rose to their feet, but Milosz Jaszyna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Novales breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Novales took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Berges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the game, C.S. EMELEC's Mellington Espinosa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Xefe Almonacid made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. If Milosz Jaszyna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Adrian Berges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Daniel Novales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Milosz Jaszyna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute Adrian Berges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Novales saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Milosz Jaszyna succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-4 in the 83rd playminute. Milosz Jaszyna's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Daniel Novales firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to C.S. EMELEC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Genaro Ebro hit a great ball. When the final whistle sounded C.S. ELEMELEC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than C.S. EMELEC.
