Sotomayor Cedillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pedro Puerto hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Jorge Alarcon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Acuña having to interfere. Sotomayor Cedillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alonzo Yañez in the 30th minute of play forced Cotogchoa SC's goalkeeper John Acuña to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute Denis Banzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bustos Ugarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sotomayor Cedillo to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, Americo Losua mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cotogchoa SC and the Nasa FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 55 played minutes Cotogchoa SC got a freekick which was hit by Americo Losua. Bustos Ugarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camilo Serans, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Alonzo Yañez kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Jorge Alarcon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bustos Ugarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camilo Serans in the 75th minute of the match. If Geovanny Escanciano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geovanny Escanciano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Acuña having to interfere. Jorge Alarcon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
