Spectators: 7316 (Terracing: 5488, Seating: 1683, VIP seats: 145) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Darío Abechuco took the kick off in the first half of the match. Darío Abechuco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Walery Kempski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Adolfo Vallino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fleitas Mazuelas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, Erekosë's Amador Hordas got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 17th minute Adolfo Vallino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fleitas Mazuelas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Adolfo Vallino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adolfo Vallino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fleitas Mazuelas having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Urbano Cespedes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Erekosë fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Carlos Cerdeiras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fleitas Mazuelas having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Erekosë's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Vallino came free, but Fleitas Mazuelas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Cerdeiras in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fleitas Mazuelas saved Erekosë from getting behind. Fleitas Mazuelas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Cerdeiras in the 35th minute of play. After 45 played minutes Erekosë got a freekick which was hit by Ataulfo Herbias. After a defensive mix-up in Erekosë's zone, Carlos Cerdeiras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fleitas Mazuelas came out of the goal and Carlos Cerdeiras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Adolfo Vallino made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Adolfo Vallino reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fleitas Mazuelas. The goal made the score 1-2. Texeira Abeita scored 2-2 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Walery Kempski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fleitas Mazuelas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Vallino in the 68th minute of play. The supporters of Chone SA booed when Erekosë was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ataulfo Herbias didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Cerdeiras got free with Fleitas Mazuelas in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 73 minutes into the match, Darío Abechuco notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Chone SA's Walery Kempski. Walery Kempski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Adolfo Vallino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Walery Kempski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darío Abechuco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chiriboga Malpica might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fleitas Mazuelas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chiriboga Malpica ran back to his position shaking his head. When Urbano Cespedes got free in front of the goal in the 94th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Walery Kempski was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Chone SA players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Erekosë.
