In the 19thth minute of the game Juan-Alfredo Lezarreta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Salcedo's Dobromir Jaraczeski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Danilo Betancurt charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Danilo Betancurt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Zaguan's Danilo Betancurt got a free kick in the 21st minute. Juan-Alfredo Lezarreta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Enrique Barrutia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juan-Alfredo Lezarreta made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan-Alfredo Lezarreta in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dobromir Jaraczeski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erasmo Camerino during the 55th minute. The Salcedo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dobromir Jaraczeski should have stopped the shot. After having played for 87 minutes, Fernandez Armona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zaguan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernandez Armona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zaguan's Fernandez Armona got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 91 minutes into the game, Blanco Usategui was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Salcedo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zaguan the free kick. After 91 played minutes Salcedo got a freekick which was hit by Blanco Usategui. A collision led to Zaguan getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Enrique Barrutia hit a great ball. The Salcedo fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Zaguan were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
