Spectators: 7308 (Terracing: 5555, Seating: 1703, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Xizavier Cerdan made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Elpidio Cordario sent off a good shot on target. Xizavier Cerdan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guaberto Atauri in the 8th minute of the match. C.S Emelec's Alejandro Maquiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ysmael Uribe in the 9th minute of play. Jacinto Elorriaga kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Xzaver Usabiaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejandro Maquiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute Gerardo Barrionuevo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejandro Maquiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as C.S Emelec's Guaberto Atauri slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Xizavier Cerdan. That made the score 1-0 after 26 minutes of play. Alejandro Maquiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Barrionuevo in the 29th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, C.S Emelec's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Barrionuevo came free, but Alejandro Maquiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xizavier Cerdan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guaberto Atauri, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. When Valentin Oniga came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the C.S Emelec fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentin Oniga couldn't finish the play. 38 minutes into the match, C.S Emelec's goal looked a bit too open when Alejandro Fallabes came free, but Alejandro Maquiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, Jacinto Elorriaga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Xizavier Cerdan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Valentin Oniga, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 48 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Xizavier Cerdan was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gerardo Barrionuevo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Tuntag SC's goal looked a bit too open when Guaberto Atauri came free, but Xizavier Cerdan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xzaver Usabiaga did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Alejandro Maquiano 57 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valentin Oniga in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xizavier Cerdan saved Tuntag SC from getting behind. C.S Emelec's Guaberto Atauri got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 69 minutes into the match, Tuntag SC's goal looked a bit too open when Guaberto Atauri came free, but Xizavier Cerdan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xzaver Usabiaga succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 71st playminute. Guaberto Atauri took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xizavier Cerdan. Xizavier Cerdan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. 82 minutes into the game, Gerardo Barrionuevo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tuntag SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.S Emelec the free kick. After 82 played minutes Tuntag SC got a freekick which was hit by Gerardo Barrionuevo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guaberto Atauri in the 84th minute of play forced Tuntag SC's goalkeeper Xizavier Cerdan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When C.S Emelec's Valentin Oniga in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 88th minute, Valentin Oniga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. C.S Emelec's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guaberto Atauri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. C.S Emelec had played much better football throughout.
