Mercado Peruyera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xavier Oviedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Pantera's Mercado Peruyera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Tuñon in the 8th minute of play. Felix Rioseco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timoteo Galo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25 played minutes Pantera got a freekick which was hit by Mariusz Olchawa. 30 minutes into the match, CD Quimshi's goal looked a bit too open when Timoteo Galo came free, but Felix Rioseco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Timoteo Galo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Felix Rioseco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the game, Salomon Suane was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pantera's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CD Quimshi the free kick. In the 36th match minute, Pantera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salomon Suane to maneuver through the defense. During the 38th minute of the match Mariusz Olchawa completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mariusz Olchawa a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Pantera getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Mariusz Olchawa hit a great ball. If Timoteo Galo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in CD Quimshi's zone, Timoteo Galo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felix Rioseco came out of the goal and Timoteo Galo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rolando Valdespino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute, Edgar Argandoña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Timoteo Galo was the one to do the kick off. Jairo Tuñon kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Felix Rioseco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timoteo Galo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pantera were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after CD Quimshi's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Timoteo Galo took the corner. After some careless play in the Pantera defense, Jairo Tuñon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mercado Peruyera. The Pantera fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mercado Peruyera should have stopped the shot. 63 minutes into the match, CD Quimshi's goal looked a bit too open when Timoteo Galo came free, but Felix Rioseco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mercado Peruyera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Tuñon in the 80th minute of play. The supporters of CD Quimshi booed when Pantera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urtsua Ilarza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adolfo Plasencia, 88 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Mercado Peruyera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trivniño Migolla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Timoteo Galo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. CD Quimshi were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Pantera's much stronger midfield.
