Macías Valdeliso's late challenge caught a UD Tunga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Macías Valdeliso helped the player get up and apologised. Arturo Canelas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lastra Peinador read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Santoni in the 7th minute of play forced Sotomayor's goalkeeper Lastra Peinador to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. UD Tunga's Zornin Greña played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cotera Guion in the 8th minute of play. After a rather tough play, UD Tunga's Ugaitz Jacolet got a free kick in the 9th minute. If Cotera Guion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th match minute, Sotomayor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guerrón Veraza to maneuver through the defense. Arturo Canelas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zornin Greña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilson Cladera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vilson Cladera struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Zornin Greña didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sotomayor. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Arturo Canelas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 30 minutes, Joel Pañeda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UD Tunga and the Sotomayor players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Sotomayor booed when UD Tunga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Pañeda didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute, Sotomayor's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Arturo Canelas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After having played for 46 minutes, Cotera Guion managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sotomayor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cotera Guion was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cotera Guion made a kick off. Zornin Greña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cotera Guion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cotera Guion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 60 minutes into the match, Sotomayor's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Santoni came free, but Lastra Peinador reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martin Santoni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lastra Peinador having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arturo Canelas in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lastra Peinador prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 71 minutes into the match, UD Tunga's goal looked a bit too open when Arboleda Guio came free, but Zornin Greña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martin Santoni in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lastra Peinador prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arturo Canelas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lastra Peinador having to interfere. Lastra Peinador made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franco Verastegui in the 87th minute of play. Macías Valdeliso hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. If Martin Santoni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 98 minutes into the match, Sotomayor's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Canelas came free, but Lastra Peinador reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. UD Tunga had won after a very even match.
