Matamba Roa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kaviedes Velon went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

But to his dismay, Kaviedes Velon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. If Cristian Romano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusebio Matro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Analla having to interfere. Cristian Romano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adelaide United walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
