The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Yuracrucito's Zabal Valines proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Yuracrucito from getting a goal against them. Nando Ascarretazabal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Zabal Valines when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Edmundo Alais received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Jacobo Barco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Desiderio Almenester got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Piezza F.C.'s zone, Edmundo Alais stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Barco came out of the goal and Edmundo Alais tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th play minute Nando Ascarretazabal came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Zabal Valines. 1-0. Zabal Valines showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Ibias in the 25th minute of the match. Jacobo Barco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Desiderio Almenester, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Yuracrucito's Zabal Valines played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Ibias in the 31st minute of play. Piezza F.C.'s Nando Ascarretazabal got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Zabal Valines managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Piezza F.C.'s Nando Ascarretazabal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Zabal Valines made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nando Ascarretazabal in the 41st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Yuracrucito's zone, Nando Ascarretazabal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zabal Valines came out of the goal and Nando Ascarretazabal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Yuracrucito defense, Nando Ascarretazabal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zabal Valines. The Yuracrucito fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zabal Valines should have stopped the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmundo Alais was the one to do the kick off. Nando Ascarretazabal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zabal Valines having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Piezza F.C.'s goalkeeper Jacobo Barco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José-Francisco Carreras. Edmundo Alais received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Jacobo Barco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 66 minutes, Pedro Ibias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piezza F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Ibias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zabal Valines came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Piezza F.C.'s Mendez Socarras. But to his dismay, Mendez Socarras quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Ascencio Libran shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After 80 minutes, Vera Folgar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Piezza F.C. and the Yuracrucito players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Piezza F.C. getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Vera Folgar hit a great ball. If Edmundo Alais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yuracrucito's Zabal Valines played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Ibias in the 91st minute of play. Pedro Ibias scored 4-1 in the 98th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zabal Valines, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
