Lisandro Cuyar hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Virgilio Gizon came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by CD Banife's Gabriel Caliz. But to his dismay, Gabriel Caliz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After the first half CD Banife were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

58 minutes into the match, CD Banife's goal looked a bit too open when Everett Doran came free, but Xose Torga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute Angel Rado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xose Torga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 61 minutes of play, LDU's Everett Doran made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. De-Jesús Alcubilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Xose Torga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
