The audience was convinced that Sylwester Borucki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Palacios Aballe was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Boguslaw Bycofski in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Perlaza Tijerina couldn't finish the play. Los Profes's Richard Villandiego got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 28 minutes, Facundo Canel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Cogollos F.C. and the Los Profes players grew even worse after the yellow card. Facundo Canel hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Palacios Aballe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sylwester Borucki, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 31 played minutes Los Profes got a freekick which was hit by Ataulfo Aliceda. Palacios Aballe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sylwester Borucki in the 39th minute of play. If Richard Villandiego had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sergio Gordo was the one to do the kick off. Palacios Aballe came out of the goal and Boguslaw Bycofski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Boguslaw Bycofski in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Palacios Aballe saved Los Cogollos F.C. from getting behind. Palacios Aballe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 98 minutes into the match, Sylwester Borucki had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Palacios Aballe. Los Cogollos F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sylwester Borucki was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Los Profes's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
