Xose Cospedal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klimowicz Helguera in the 10th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Ceilan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Reasco Irastorza came free, but Xose Cospedal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute, Pedro Lobo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xose Cospedal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klimowicz Helguera in the 42nd minute of play. After 44 played minutes Pacoba SC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Lobo. In the 45th minute, Agustín Arizabal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Klimowicz Helguera during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Agustín Arizabal made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Ruperto Suero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ceilan FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruperto Suero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelo Valensuela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Agustín Arizabal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After a rather tough play, Ceilan FC's Sánchez Buitron got a free kick in the 77th minute. Ugaitz Sarro hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Zeledon Zalona took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Angelo Valensuela. Angelo Valensuela dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Ceilan FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
