Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeusz Siekierka in the 21st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Balazs Lajos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustaw Lech was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Korneliusz Nigbor hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. FC Saxon's Gustaw Lech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 43rd minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 51st minute Takacs Tibor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustaw Lech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Saxon's Gustaw Lech proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save FC Saxon from getting a goal against them. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Saxon's goalkeeper Gustaw Lech, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fodor Daniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roland Banaszak's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Kajetan Rukszcz hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Gustaw Lech made a huge save. After 80 played minutes FC Saxon got a freekick which was hit by Korneliusz Nigbor. Major Barna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Gustaw Lech tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Major Barna's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gustaw Lech firmly grabbed it by the left post. Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute of the match, Takacs Tibor tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gustaw Lech saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 92nd match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hegedus Henrik to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the match, FC Saxon's Sylwester Bejrut sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fodor Daniel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. FC Saxon's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Antal Valentin scored to the left of an out of position Gustaw Lech, making the score, 2-2. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Hungary players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
