The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Rafael Carrera left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nutridal FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After having played for 8 minutes, Alvaro Pendones managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nutridal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alvaro Pendones was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcos Urquioja hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. When Nutridal FC's Martin Paratorrecilla in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hualcumbo FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 13th minute, Victorino Sastrias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Nutridal FC's Daniel Pabon got control of the ball when Carnero Urbistondo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Hualcumbo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Paratorrecilla came free, but Estacio Ribacoba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mora Maldonado kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Ovidio Cosmen charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ovidio Cosmen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 34 played minutes Hualcumbo FC got a freekick which was hit by Ovidio Cosmen. Daniel Pabon was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Victorino Sastrias capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Victorino Sastrias really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. 42 minutes into the match, Hualcumbo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mora Maldonado came free, but Estacio Ribacoba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Rafael Carrera came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Nutridal FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Carrera couldn't finish the play. If Martin Paratorrecilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Martin Paratorrecilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Walter Via to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes in the game, Mora Maldonado fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Estacio Ribacoba having to interfere. After 53 played minutes Hualcumbo FC got a freekick which was hit by Zumar Rosser. If Mora Maldonado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the match, Hualcumbo FC's goalkeeper Estacio Ribacoba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Paratorrecilla. Hualcumbo FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Rafael Carrera scored to the left of an out of position Estacio Ribacoba, making the score, 1-3. Daniel Pabon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carnero Urbistondo in the 68th minute of the match. In the 71st match minute, Hualcumbo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorino Sastrias to maneuver through the defense. Estacio Ribacoba made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Rafael Carrera sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Pabon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carnero Urbistondo, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Martin Paratorrecilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Nutridal FC booed when Hualcumbo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincente Biñayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80thth minute of the game Carnero Urbistondo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nutridal FC's Daniel Pabon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alvaro Pendones struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Estacio Ribacoba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nutridal FC. 84 minutes into the match, Nutridal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Urquioja came free, but Daniel Pabon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mora Maldonado during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 87th minute, one of Hualcumbo FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hualcumbo FC. After a rather tough play, Nutridal FC's Mora Maldonado got a free kick in the 91st minute. Carnero Urbistondo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Pabon having to interfere. 99 minutes into the game, one of Nutridal FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 101st minute there was a penalty for Hualcumbo FC. Vincente Biñayo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Daniel Pabon. 2-5. The Hualcumbo FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Nutridal FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Nutridal FC.
