Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Zapotal SC's Teodoro Horcajo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Hualcumbo FC defense, Corozo Abaunza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Estacio Ribacoba. The Hualcumbo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Estacio Ribacoba should have stopped the shot. In the 9th minute, Walter Via hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hualcumbo FC's Estacio Ribacoba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Terrazas in the 12th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Teodoro Horcajo put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Estacio Ribacoba. With his leg Alberto Fontecavada managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Hualcumbo FC's Marcos Urquioja fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Guerrero Vivera hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. When Walter Via came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Hualcumbo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walter Via couldn't finish the play. Alberto Fontecavada made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Carnero Urbistondo sent off a good shot on target. If Denis Terrazas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teodoro Horcajo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Estacio Ribacoba having to make a save. Teodoro Horcajo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 28 played minutes Hualcumbo FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Urquioja. When Candelario Zadaya came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Zapotal SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Candelario Zadaya couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd minute, Marcos Urquioja left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hualcumbo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Candelario Zadaya kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Estacio Ribacoba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denis Terrazas in the 37th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Zapotal SC's Candelario Zadaya sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Estacio Ribacoba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vincente Biñayo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alberto Fontecavada. Zapotal SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 41st minute, Hualcumbo FC's Victorino Sastrias ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alberto Fontecavada. Alberto Fontecavada yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Walter Via fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Fontecavada having to interfere. Zapotal SC's Alberto Fontecavada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walter Via in the 48th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After 52 minutes, Unai Soporta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zapotal SC and the Hualcumbo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 53rd minute, Unai Soporta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 54 played minutes, Hualcumbo FC's Vincente Biñayo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alberto Fontecavada came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hualcumbo FC reached it. In the 56th minute Corozo Abaunza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Estacio Ribacoba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Hualcumbo FC's Estacio Ribacoba got control of the ball when Denis Terrazas tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vincente Biñayo during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 59 minutes into the game, one of Hualcumbo FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Estacio Ribacoba, was totally fooled by Zapotal SC's Teodoro Horcajo, who 60 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After having played for 64 minutes, Corozo Abaunza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zapotal SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Corozo Abaunza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68th minute, Walter Via ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alberto Fontecavada was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. Alberto Fontecavada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carnero Urbistondo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes in the game, Candelario Zadaya fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Estacio Ribacoba having to interfere. A collision led to Hualcumbo FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Xzavion Villarroel hit a great ball. Candelario Zadaya hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Corozo Abaunza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Estacio Ribacoba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teodoro Horcajo struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Estacio Ribacoba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zapotal SC. After having played for 92 minutes, Corozo Abaunza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zapotal SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Corozo Abaunza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Zapotal SC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
