A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Denis Terrazas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Oñate having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Corozo Abaunza got free with David Oñate in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Urdaspal Valaguer made a kick off. A collision led to CD CEDRONE getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Loco Ruescas hit a great ball. When Candelario Zadaya fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zapotal SC's protests and gave Candelario Zadaya a yellow card for diving instead. In the 59th minute, Candelario Zadaya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Corozo Abaunza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The supporters of Zapotal SC booed when CD CEDRONE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zapotal SC's Jimmy Dorado quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a defensive mix-up in Zapotal SC's zone, Urdaspal Valaguer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Fontecavada came out of the goal and Urdaspal Valaguer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Denis Terrazas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Zapotal SC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching CD CEDRONE's performance. The match ended with a win for CD CEDRONE.
