In the 3rdth minute of the game Teodoro Horcajo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but UD Briceno's Victoriano Asenjo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Victoriano Asenjo came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Zapotal SC's Denis Terrazas. But to his dismay, Denis Terrazas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Corozo Abaunza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Victoriano Asenjo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romulo Villalva during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Teodoro Horcajo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victoriano Asenjo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Horcajo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 18 minutes, Teodoro Horcajo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zapotal SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teodoro Horcajo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Venceslao Prats struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Victoriano Asenjo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zapotal SC. Teodoro Horcajo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 25 minutes of play, Zapotal SC's Venceslao Prats made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Victoriano Asenjo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jacinto Novo charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacinto Novo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Zapotal SC booed when UD Briceno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Novo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Venceslao Prats managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zapotal SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Venceslao Prats was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victoriano Asenjo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Baezabal made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when José-Francisco Loza sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the UD Briceno defense, Teodoro Horcajo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victoriano Asenjo. The UD Briceno fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victoriano Asenjo should have stopped the shot. When Marlon Marichalar came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Zapotal SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marlon Marichalar couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in UD Briceno's zone, Teodoro Horcajo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victoriano Asenjo came out of the goal and Teodoro Horcajo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Teodoro Horcajo put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Victoriano Asenjo. In the 46th minute, Denis Terrazas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zapotal SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. After the first half Zapotal SC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind UD Briceno's goalkeeper Victoriano Asenjo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Corozo Abaunza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denis Terrazas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in UD Briceno's zone, Corozo Abaunza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victoriano Asenjo came out of the goal and Corozo Abaunza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victoriano Asenjo made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Venceslao Prats sent off a good shot on target. Teodoro Horcajo struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Victoriano Asenjo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Denis Terrazas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 73 minute of play. With his leg Victoriano Asenjo managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when Zapotal SC's Teodoro Horcajo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Corozo Abaunza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 0-8 when Teodoro Horcajo sped through UD Briceno's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Victoriano Asenjo. Zapotal SC's Teodoro Horcajo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 88th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Denis Terrazas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victoriano Asenjo. UD Briceno's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Denis Terrazas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-10. 95 minutes into the game, Romulo Villalva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-11. Victoriano Asenjo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zapotal SC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
