In the 26th minute, OBANDO S.C.'s Victoro Pedriza seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Victoro Pedriza the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of OBANDO S.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Victoro Pedriza had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Paio in the 31st minute of play forced Huayquichuma FC's goalkeeper Franco Rello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xavier Bayas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
