Nestor Gatell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urbez Valbuena, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 26th match minute, Patojos Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Valben to maneuver through the defense. Christobal Ayala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Nestor Gatell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Arosemena SC's goalkeeper Nestor Gatell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Urbez Valbuena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Arosemena SC defense, Urbez Valbuena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nestor Gatell. The Arosemena SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nestor Gatell should have stopped the shot. Nestor Gatell made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Christobal Ayala sent off a good shot on target. In the 45th minute Urbez Valbuena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Gatell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christobal Ayala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Diaz Carro was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Patojos Futbol Club booed when Arosemena SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xosepe Espinar didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christobal Ayala in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nestor Gatell saved Arosemena SC from getting behind. After 72 minutes, Urtsua Villagra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Patojos Futbol Club and the Arosemena SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nestor Gatell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Urbez Valbuena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute Urtsua Villagra collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Texeira Vozmediana during the 77th minute.
