The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Franco Rello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Cardenas in the 7th minute of the match. Ramos Carillo hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After 14 minutes, Virila Mena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Huayquichuma FC and the USFQ FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 13 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Huayquichuma FC! Franco Rello went to the wrong direction when Leo Cardenas was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After some careless play in the Huayquichuma FC defense, Vellito Manzano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Franco Rello. The Huayquichuma FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Franco Rello should have stopped the shot. In the 19th minute, Jeremias Gamiz made a precise shot to the right of Damian Dubilas. USFQ FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 23rd minute Leo Cardenas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Rello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leo Cardenas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Damian Dubilas made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Jeremias Gamiz sent off a good shot on target. Zorion Prats hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Huayquichuma FC defense, Leo Cardenas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Franco Rello. The Huayquichuma FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Franco Rello should have stopped the shot. In the 37th minute, Leo Cardenas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jeremias Gamiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Damian Dubilas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Franco Rello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leo Cardenas, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. In the 47th match minute, Huayquichuma FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xavier Bayas to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leo Cardenas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. USFQ FC's Leo Cardenas was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 55th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 63 minutes into the match, USFQ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xavier Bayas came free, but Damian Dubilas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Huayquichuma FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of USFQ FC:s goal. Damian Dubilas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edison Gaviria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Xavier Bayas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Damian Dubilas was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. 78 minutes into the match, USFQ FC's Leo Cardenas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Franco Rello narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Claudio Palladino hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Zorion Prats recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Damian Dubilas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Gamiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Edison Gaviria managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huayquichuma FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Edison Gaviria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damian Dubilas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Damian Dubilas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Gamiz in the 90th minute of play. After 93 minutes of play, Huayquichuma FC's Edison Gaviria made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Damian Dubilas was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Gamiz in the 99th minute of play forced USFQ FC's goalkeeper Damian Dubilas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The USFQ FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing USFQ FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
