Xavion Suero was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 22 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! Vennancio Cembraña didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Calvi FC's Vinícius Junior shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 57th minute Vinícius Junior shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vennancio Cembraña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE defense, Vinícius Junior kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vennancio Cembraña. Vennancio Cembraña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osorio Larrañaga in the 71st minute of play. INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE's Vennancio Cembraña played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinícius Junior in the 73rd minute of play. Vinícius Junior took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vennancio Cembraña. Vennancio Cembraña dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Vennancio Cembraña stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vinícius Junior's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Vennancio Cembraña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinícius Junior, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE's goalkeeper Vennancio Cembraña, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Calvi FC booed when INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zuñiga Laiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87thth minute of the game Vinícius Junior who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE's Vennancio Cembraña was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Luzuriaga Gorria had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vennancio Cembraña. INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luzuriaga Gorria was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vinícius Junior in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vennancio Cembraña prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 93rd minute of the match Calvi FC got a corner. INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luzuriaga Gorria ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Santos Valdero managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Vinícius Junior managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calvi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vinícius Junior was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vennancio Cembraña breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinícius Junior in the 98th minute of play forced INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE's goalkeeper Vennancio Cembraña to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Calvi FC fully deserved thier win.
