Vennancio Cembraña made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE's zone, Jimmy Iruretagoyena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vennancio Cembraña came out of the goal and Jimmy Iruretagoyena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE's Vennancio Cembraña proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE from getting a goal against them. Vennancio Cembraña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Ahelle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Vennancio Cembraña successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 42nd minute, Tonio Babia had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Veremundo Gegunde fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE's protests and gave Veremundo Gegunde a yellow card for diving instead. Veremundo Gegunde hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. 45 minutes into the match, INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE's goalkeeper Vennancio Cembraña had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Uxio Oñez. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Uxio Oñez to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Uxio Oñez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Guallagro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Uxio Oñez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 55 minutes into the game, Uxio Oñez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Vennancio Cembraña was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 58thth minute of the game Uxio Oñez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE's Vennancio Cembraña was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 64 minutes into the match, INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE's goal looked a bit too open when Uxio Oñez came free, but Vennancio Cembraña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute, Uxio Oñez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CD Guallagro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 73rd minute Uxio Oñez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vennancio Cembraña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vennancio Cembraña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trota Lamboy, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE's Vennancio Cembraña played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uxio Oñez in the 77th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Zarando Momparte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Uxio Oñez sped through INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vennancio Cembraña. Vennancio Cembraña showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uxio Oñez in the 84th minute of the match. Jimmy Iruretagoyena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Uxio Oñez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vennancio Cembraña having to interfere. Trota Lamboy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Uxio Oñez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vennancio Cembraña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uxio Oñez, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. When the referee ended the match the CD Guallagro players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
