The Villacis SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ponce Fabeiro should have stopped the shot. Jimmy Iruretagoyena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Ponce Fabeiro made a huge save. If Uxio Oñez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabian Tejeyra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jimmy Iruretagoyena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Ponce Fabeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Criban Goyanes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Tejeyra in the 26th minute of the match. Ponce Fabeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimmy Iruretagoyena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jimmy Iruretagoyena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Uxio Oñez in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ponce Fabeiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ponce Fabeiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jimmy Iruretagoyena's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Jimmy Iruretagoyena kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ponce Fabeiro. That made the score 3-0 in the 43 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Villacis SC's Ponce Fabeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimmy Iruretagoyena in the 53rd minute of play. Ponce Fabeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uxio Oñez in the 54th minute of play. Jimmy Iruretagoyena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Ponce Fabeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luis Cambas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Criban Goyanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Villacis SC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. John Garaizar hit a great ball. In the 64th minute, Uxio Oñez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ponce Fabeiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 68th match minute, Villacis SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Chumacero to maneuver through the defense. CD Guallagro's Christian Sanz got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Uxio Oñez took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ponce Fabeiro. Ponce Fabeiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Ponce Fabeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uxio Oñez in the 83rd minute of the match. Criban Goyanes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Tejeyra, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. There was no doubt that CD Guallagro were the better team. CD Guallagro's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
