Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Blanco Reboiras successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Uxio Oñez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blanco Reboiras having to interfere. After having played for 30 minutes, Trota Lamboy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Guallagro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trota Lamboy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 35th minute, Espinoza Lena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manchester Quito fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a rather tough play, Manchester Quito's Aurelio Pachistre got a free kick in the 38th minute. CD Guallagro's Trota Lamboy got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
