Spectators: 6841 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Fabian Tejeyra got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute, Rolando Mendez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pucarsol SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 6 minutes into the game, Rolando Mendez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ponce Fabeiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ponce Fabeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Mendez in the 9th minute of the match. Simon Lantaron's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ponce Fabeiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Sanchez Lamas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ponce Fabeiro. Villacis SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sanchez Lamas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. When Rolando Mendez came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Pucarsol SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rolando Mendez couldn't finish the play. 23 minutes into the game, Pucarsol SC's Simon Lantaron nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ponce Fabeiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Hector-Luis Acevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luis Cambas in the 29th minute. When Luis Cambas came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Villacis SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Cambas couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd minute, Simon Lantaron got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vasco Monta charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vasco Monta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vasco Monta hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the match, Villacis SC's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Lantaron came free, but Ponce Fabeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ponce Fabeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Hondona in the 43rd minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 47 minutes into the game, when Ordonez Zamorano put in a rough tackle. In the 48th match minute, Pucarsol SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ordonez Zamorano to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rolando Mendez was the one to do the kick off. Rolando Hondona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Mendez in the 62nd minute of play forced Villacis SC's goalkeeper Ponce Fabeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Mendez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rubén Pacheco's late challenge caught a Villacis SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rubén Pacheco helped the player get up and apologised. Rubén Pacheco kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. The supporters of Pucarsol SC booed when Villacis SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vasco Monta didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute, Sanchez Lamas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luis Cambas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the match, Rolando Mendez dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ponce Fabeiro, 0-5. Rolando Mendez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ponce Fabeiro having to interfere. When the match was over Pucarsol SC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Villacis SC throughout the match.
