Spectators: 6848 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1848, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jurand Tarasek started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Jurand Tarasek had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Urritz Lardero. Patulata's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jurand Tarasek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xines Mencia during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Patulata's Xines Mencia got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 8th minute, Jurand Tarasek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jurand Tarasek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Urritz Lardero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Independiente de Quito's Marcelo Cardiel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Montano in the 19th minute of play. In the 19th match minute, Independiente de Quito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Neicer Fontanes to maneuver through the defense. The Independiente de Quito fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Independiente de Quito's Jurand Tarasek looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Patulata's Hernando Navaridas got a free kick in the 31st minute. 32 minutes into the game, Jurand Tarasek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Urritz Lardero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Jurand Tarasek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Patulata's Urritz Lardero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jurand Tarasek in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Patulata's goal looked a bit too open when Jurand Tarasek came free, but Urritz Lardero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ubendu Carreiras recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jurand Tarasek scored 0-5 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Urritz Lardero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Zarbonin Gijon fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Patulata's protests and gave Zarbonin Gijon a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th minute, Zarbonin Gijon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

Urritz Lardero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jurand Tarasek in the 54th minute of the match. In the 58th match minute, Independiente de Quito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frutos Ceja to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Ubendu Carreiras managed to get in a good position for a shot. Independiente de Quito's supporters rose to their feet, but Ubendu Carreiras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Urritz Lardero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ubendu Carreiras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Urritz Lardero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jurand Tarasek blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Urritz Lardero having to make a save. The attack was good, but when Jurand Tarasek in the 70th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Independiente de Quito made a substitution. Justavino Gaztelumendi replaced Jurand Tarasek. Urritz Lardero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Justavino Gaztelumendi in the 78th minute. In the 80th minute, Independiente de Quito's Ubendu Carreiras dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. A hard shot 85 in the game by Justavino Gaztelumendi from a close distance when the talented Urritz Lardero managed to make a qualified save. Patulata's players were relieved. The supporters of Independiente de Quito booed when Patulata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luzuriaga Cospedal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ubendu Carreiras, 88 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 98 played minutes Justavino Gaztelumendi rounded Patulata's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-8.
