After 23 played minutes Club Deportivo Logroño got a freekick which was hit by Wilmer Montealegre. Criban Miranes kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Emilio Cedeno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vergaray Sedan acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 29th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Criban Miranes. After 30 played minutes Club Deportivo Logroño got a freekick which was hit by Mane Bravain. Club Deportivo Logroño's George Catalan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramirez Peon in the 32nd minute of play. If Ramiro Castañon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the game, El Universo de Goles's Ramirez Peon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. George Catalan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2.

Ramirez Peon might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over George Catalan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramirez Peon ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calisto Negrete in the 56th minute of play forced El Universo de Goles's goalkeeper Vergaray Sedan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vergaray Sedan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mane Bravain in the 59th minute of play. In the 64th minute, El Universo de Goles's Ramirez Peon ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind George Catalan. George Catalan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. George Catalan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramiro Castañon in the 70th minute of the match. A collision led to El Universo de Goles getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Yoelvis Estenaga hit a great ball. In the 71st minute, Mariano Portas sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and El Universo de Goles's Vergaray Sedan didn't even have to move. George Catalan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramiro Castañon, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Logroño's goal looked a bit too open when Ramirez Peon came free, but George Catalan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. George Catalan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramiro Castañon in the 77th minute of play. Vergaray Sedan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Calisto Negrete went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. The long shot by Monge Lira in the 87th minute really tested George Catalan's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Ramirez Peons short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got George Catalan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. El Universo de Goles's Yoelvis Estenaga quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Urki Olalde, made in the 95th minute of the game.
