Mateus Ochandio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Mateus Ochandio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernando Barra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mateus Ochandio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ordonez Rumayor in the 32nd minute of the match. Atletico Ilaló's Mateus Ochandio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Arenas in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hernando Barra made a kick off. Hernando Barra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mateus Ochandio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xan Guipuzcoa in the 54th minute of play. Atletico Ilaló's Mateus Ochandio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perez Guedella in the 56th minute of play. Mateus Ochandio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ordonez Rumayor, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. With a little luck, Atletico Ilaló's Mateus Ochandio got control of the ball when Marcelo Arenas tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Deportivo Logroño's Calisto Negrete slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mateus Ochandio. That made the score 1-4 after 65 minutes of play.
