After a rather tough play, River Plate's Mateus Poo got a free kick in the 4th minute. 8 minutes into the game, River Plate's Stalin Cabezuela nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Xantalen Arranz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 11th match minute, FC Tianxia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pepe Rigual to maneuver through the defense. After 15 minutes, Alex Azaceta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Tianxia and the River Plate players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rafael de la Rosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xantalen Arranz having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Ignacio Lauro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xantalen Arranz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Ignacio Lauro took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xantalen Arranz. Xantalen Arranz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 29th minute, Ignacio Lauro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xantalen Arranz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After a defensive mix-up in FC Tianxia's zone, Stalin Cabezuela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xantalen Arranz came out of the goal and Stalin Cabezuela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38thth minute of the game Stalin Cabezuela who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Tianxia's Xantalen Arranz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Stalin Cabezuela hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xoan Rivadeneira during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC Tianxia booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xoan Rivadeneira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The FC Tianxia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. River Plate were winning 0-4.

Alex Azaceta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roberto Bermudo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viviano Pareja, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 59th minute, Federico Hermosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ignacio Lauro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Xantalen Arranz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. When Samuel Heinze fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River Plate's protests and gave Samuel Heinze a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Samuel Heinze hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ignacio Lauro got free with Xantalen Arranz in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 68 minutes of play River Plate's Xoan Rivadeneira was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In a very dangerous position, a player in River Plate fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 67th minute. Penalty! Roberto Bermudo had in the 70thth minute some difficulties stopping Emiliano Briones's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some careless play in the River Plate defense, Emiliano Briones kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roberto Bermudo. The River Plate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roberto Bermudo should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Rafael de la Rosa took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Xantalen Arranz to make any attempt to save it. River Plate's Jonatan Rioseco was substituted for Stalin Cabezuela. 82 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Zenaido Fontanes came free, but Roberto Bermudo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Tianxia's Xantalen Arranz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonatan Rioseco in the 86th minute of play. The supporters of River Plate booed when FC Tianxia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Perlaza Lobregon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonatan Rioseco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Xantalen Arranz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Jonatan Rioseco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Xantalen Arranz. That made the score 1-6 in the 96 minute of play. River Plate played a much better game than FC Tianxia and deserved their victory. The FC Tianxia players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
