Xicu Aguileta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rixon Hurdinosa in the 17th minute. Blandón Vallino came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Roxas's Parrales Guete. But to his dismay, Parrales Guete quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Blandón Vallino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camacho Burell, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After 25 minutes of play, Roxas's Parrales Guete made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Blandón Vallino was left in no man's land by his defense there! Parrales Guete fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blandón Vallino having to interfere. Blandón Vallino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Parrales Guete in the 30th minute of the match. The supporters of Roxas booed when Independiente del Valle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aguirre Losua didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Roxas getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Fernández Bezares hit a great ball. Independiente del Valle's Blandón Vallino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Parrales Guete in the 35th minute of play. Xicu Aguileta acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 39th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Leo Valpuesta. 40 minutes into the match, Independiente del Valle's Rixon Hurdinosa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Xicu Aguileta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 43 played minutes, Roxas's Ignacio Ungia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Blandón Vallino came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Roxas reached it. Marcos Irabien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xicu Aguileta having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Roxas's zone, Rixon Hurdinosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xicu Aguileta came out of the goal and Rixon Hurdinosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Independiente del Valle's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Parrales Guete fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Independiente del Valle's defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Parrales Guete scored to the left of an out of position Blandón Vallino, making the score, 0-4. A collision led to Roxas getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Manuel Gascon hit a great ball. If Aguirre Losua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xicu Aguileta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Villarin in the 71st minute of play. Bernardo Villarin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Xicu Aguileta having to make a save. A collision led to Independiente del Valle getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Aguirre Losua hit a great ball. A collision led to Roxas getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Independiente del Valle's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rixon Hurdinosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 83 minutes into the game, Independiente del Valle's Rixon Hurdinosa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Xicu Aguileta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. If Bernardo Villarin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. Roxas were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Independiente del Valle's much stronger midfield.
