Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jesus Landa took the kick off in the first half of the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jesus Michel couldn't finish the play. 17 minutes into the match, Jesus Landa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Roman Baiges, 1-1. Roman Baiges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesus Landa in the 23rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Jesus Landa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sangay SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jesus Landa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roman Baiges breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roman Baiges stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jesus Landa's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jesus Landa in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roman Baiges saved Cañita Sporting Club from getting behind. Gabriel Ibern stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vilson Chavarria's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute, Segundo Arrazola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Cañita Sporting Club's Xicu Leizaur got a free kick in the 37th minute. After 56 minutes, Lastra Rufrancos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sangay SC and the Cañita Sporting Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sangay SC's Lastra Rufrancos got a free kick in the 56th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vilson Chavarria in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gabriel Ibern saved Sangay SC from getting behind. 60 minutes into the match, Cañita Sporting Club's goal looked a bit too open when Jesus Michel came free, but Roman Baiges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Cañita Sporting Club's goalkeeper Roman Baiges, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jesus Landa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roman Baiges read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Segundo Arrazola charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Segundo Arrazola the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sangay SC booed when Cañita Sporting Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Segundo Arrazola didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jesus Landa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Baiges having to interfere. Cañita Sporting Club's Roman Baiges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesus Michel in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th match minute, Sangay SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesus Landa to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Cañita Sporting Club booed when Sangay SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camacho Arlines didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jesus Michel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roman Baiges took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesus Landa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roman Baiges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesus Michel in the 83rd minute of the match. Roman Baiges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesus Michel in the 86th minute of play. When Jesus Landa came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Sangay SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jesus Landa couldn't finish the play. Jesus Michel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jesus Landa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Sangay SC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
