After some careless play in the Roma de Ecuador FC defense, Samaniego Lasalde kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernardo Cerejido. The Roma de Ecuador FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardo Cerejido should have stopped the shot. In the 15th minute, Urki Proenza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernardo Cerejido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samaniego Lasalde in the 19th minute of the match. Bernardo Cerejido came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Racing FC's Samaniego Lasalde. But to his dismay, Samaniego Lasalde quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 24th match minute, Roma de Ecuador FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omar Mayo to maneuver through the defense. Omar Beneit took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bernardo Cerejido. Roma de Ecuador FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bernardo Cerejido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Urtaran, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Samaniego Lasalde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Bernardo Cerejido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute Alfonso Urtaran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Cerejido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernández Enestrosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. After having played for 45 minutes, Fernández Enestrosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernández Enestrosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arboleda Valcuende made a kick off. If Unai Beguellina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 71 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Racing FC! The referee gave Roma de Ecuador FC a penalty, 73 minutes into the game. When the final whistle sounded Racing FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Roma de Ecuador FC.
