After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Alfonso Urtaran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Racing FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfonso Urtaran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Conde breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 25 minutes in the game, Olavo Seabra dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olavo Seabra got free with Arboleda Armea in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Barbudos FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. España Freije hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the match, Racing FC's Samaniego Lasalde sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martin Conde narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Paredes Garay fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Racing FC's protests and gave Paredes Garay a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Racing FC's Paredes Garay got a free kick in the 47th minute. In the 48th minute of the match Urritz Alonzo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arboleda Armea showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

A hard shot 53 in the game by Samaniego Lasalde from a close distance when the talented Martin Conde managed to make a qualified save. Barbudos FC's players were relieved. In the 56th minute, Samaniego Lasalde ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Martin Conde was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olavo Seabra in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arboleda Armea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 60 minutes into the match, Racing FC's goal looked a bit too open when Olavo Seabra came free, but Arboleda Armea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonides Ramila kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st minute of the match Urritz Alonzo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arboleda Armea showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Teofilo Zaldos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barbudos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Teofilo Zaldos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arboleda Armea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Barbudos FC's Martin Conde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfonso Urtaran in the 84th minute of play. Samaniego Lasalde's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 88thth minute, Martin Conde skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Racing FC's Fernández Enestrosa got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Racing FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
