Vilson Chavarria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Conde having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Barbudos FC's zone, Vilson Chavarria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Conde came out of the goal and Vilson Chavarria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Olavo Seabra scored 1-0 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roman Baiges, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 38 minutes into the game, Segundo Arrazola was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cañita Sporting Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barbudos FC the free kick. In the 38th match minute, Cañita Sporting Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Segundo Arrazola to maneuver through the defense. Olavo Seabra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Baiges having to interfere. After 44 minutes of play, Barbudos FC's Olavo Seabra made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Martin Conde made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Olavo Seabra to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 62 minutes, Xicu Leizaur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cañita Sporting Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xicu Leizaur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vilson Chavarria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Martin Conde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olavo Seabra in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roman Baiges saved Cañita Sporting Club from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Raimundo Basante managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barbudos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Raimundo Basante was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roman Baiges breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Cañita Sporting Club's Segundo Arrazola got a free kick in the 85th minute. Olavo Seabra might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roman Baiges. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olavo Seabra ran back to his position shaking his head. Roman Baiges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olavo Seabra in the 95th minute of play.
