Guayacanes Fútbol Club's Juan-Alfredo Villabel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquin Buerga in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquin Buerga in the 16th minute of play forced Guayacanes Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Juan-Alfredo Villabel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joaquin Buerga in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Esterilla Nurueña to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Guayacanes Fútbol Club's zone, Joaquin Buerga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Zubiaur took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juan-Alfredo Villabel. Juan-Alfredo Villabel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Mastolo played a much better game than Guayacanes Fútbol Club and deserved their victory. The Guayacanes Fútbol Club players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
