Spectators: 7650 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Anangonó Jaen started the match with the kick off. In the 3rdth minute of the game Alarcón Curcio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Independiente de Quito's Vasco Codina was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Independiente de Quito's goal looked a bit too open when Alarcón Curcio came free, but Vasco Codina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Delgado Serantes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Independiente de Quito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rafash SC the free kick. After 18 played minutes Independiente de Quito got a freekick which was hit by Delgado Serantes. After 18 played minutes, Rafash SC's Leszek Paprotny shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vasco Codina came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rafash SC reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santos Albarellos got free with Jurand Sienkowski in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Independiente de Quito's Santos Albarellos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jurand Sienkowski. That made the score 1-0 after 27 minutes of play. Vasco Codina came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Rafash SC's Leoverliz Santander. But to his dismay, Leoverliz Santander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Vasco Codina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alarcón Curcio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42ndth minute of the game Leoverliz Santander who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Independiente de Quito's Vasco Codina was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leoverliz Santander in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vasco Codina prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 50th match minute, Independiente de Quito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Tiagonce to maneuver through the defense. When Leonides Fresnedo came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Rafash SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonides Fresnedo couldn't finish the play. In the 57thth minute of the game Alarcón Curcio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Independiente de Quito's Vasco Codina was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Estevez Blanch made in the 58th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ferrer Fito. After a rather tough play, Independiente de Quito's Estevez Blanch got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 67th match minute, Independiente de Quito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Loco Surga to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th match minute, Independiente de Quito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Loco Surga to maneuver through the defense. Rafash SC's Alarcón Curcio got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vasco Codina stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alarcón Curcio's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Vasco Codina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alarcón Curcio in the 77th minute of play. Zeru Conti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jurand Sienkowski having to interfere. Viteri Urquiaga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Jurand Sienkowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rafash SC's Jurand Sienkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeru Conti in the 81st minute of play. Jurand Sienkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santos Albarellos in the 83rd minute of play. If Alarcón Curcio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 94th minute Alarcón Curcio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vasco Codina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Estevez Blanch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rafash SC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Independiente de Quito to leave the ground with a draw.
