The supporters of Inter de Portoviejo booed when Independiente de Quito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anangonó Jaen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Inter de Portoviejo played a much better game than Independiente de Quito and deserved their victory. The Independiente de Quito players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
