In the 18th match minute, OLIMPIA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubio Domene to maneuver through the defense. Edgardo Queduro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Vellito Barrenechea when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 24th minute Cagua Corcoba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Tercilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mateo Viña took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Elias Tercilla. OLIMPIA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some careless play in the OLIMPIA defense, Angelo Goicoechea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elias Tercilla. The OLIMPIA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elias Tercilla should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelo Goicoechea in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elias Tercilla saved OLIMPIA from getting behind. After 68 played minutes OLIMPIA got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Granda. The supporters of OLIMPIA booed when Vendetta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Villafuerte Ibarzabal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yánez Parserises took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vellito Barrenechea. Vendetta FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Edgardo Queduro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vellito Barrenechea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Vellito Barrenechea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorino Folgar in the 88th minute of play. OLIMPIA's Elias Tercilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save OLIMPIA from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the OLIMPIA defense, Angelo Goicoechea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elias Tercilla. The OLIMPIA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elias Tercilla should have stopped the shot. Vendetta FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
