They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Teo Moroño was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Blandón Lazaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Teo Moroño tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Blandón Lazaro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Teo Moroño. La Naranja Mecánica ®'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Blandón Lazaro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. A collision led to La Naranja Mecánica ® getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Claudio Mascire hit a great ball. In the 78th minute, Claudio Mascire reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rolando Briones. The goal made the score 3-4. In the 83rd minute, Hugo Mijancas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. La Naranja Mecánica ®'s Teo Moroño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blandón Lazaro in the 86th minute of play. Zoil Franco hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 92ndth minute of the game Blandón Lazaro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Naranja Mecánica ®'s Teo Moroño was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 96 minutes, Blandón Lazaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Estudiantil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Blandón Lazaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. La Naranja Mecánica ® walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
