When Blandón Lazaro came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Atlético Estudiantil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Blandón Lazaro couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Metro80 FC's Ximen Trevino got a free kick in the 9th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Atlético Estudiantil's goal looked a bit too open when Zenaido Pamanes came free, but Rolando Briones reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 13 played minutes Metro80 FC got a freekick which was hit by Trivniño Azpe. Xandro Fontan, 14 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Blandón Lazaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aguirre Grande having to interfere. Rolando Briones made an important save on a dangerous shot by Segundo Poso in the 28th minute. Rolando Briones made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Segundo Poso in the 31st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zoil Franco during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blandón Lazaro in the 38th minute of play forced Metro80 FC's goalkeeper Aguirre Grande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 57th minute of the game Felix Mogrovejo made a throw-in which Zenaido Pamanes played forward. Rolando Briones took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Segundo Poso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the game, Felix Mogrovejo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Atlético Estudiantil's Hugo Mijancas quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When Hugo Mijancas came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Atlético Estudiantil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Mijancas couldn't finish the play. 64 minutes into the game, Vermudo Mendigoitia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Metro80 FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Estudiantil the free kick. The supporters of Atlético Estudiantil booed when Metro80 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vermudo Mendigoitia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rolando Briones came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Metro80 FC's Ximen Trevino. But to his dismay, Ximen Trevino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After having played for 70 minutes, Bernardo Amurrio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Estudiantil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardo Amurrio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Blandón Lazaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Estudiantil's supporters rose to their feet, but Blandón Lazaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aguirre Grande breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Metro80 FC's Aguirre Grande played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blandón Lazaro in the 75th minute of play. 77 minutes into the game, Blandón Lazaro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Aguirre Grande was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Blandón Lazaro in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aguirre Grande, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Blandón Lazaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Atlético Estudiantil booed when Metro80 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zenaido Pamanes didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Atlético Estudiantil left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Metro80 FC.
