After a rather tough play, Sandoval SC's Xavies Arneu got a free kick in the 99th minute. Many of Sandoval SC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Sandoval SC may have spent more time on the ball, but Guayaquil S.C. were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
