When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Domingo Viedes made a kick off. CD Guanabana's attentive Xofre Sandoval managed to snatch the ball when Iza Olan made a throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game. After 52 played minutes UD Lagartera got a freekick which was hit by Yambay Mateos. Iza Olan charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Oscar Olloque took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Valentin Mijares. UD Lagartera's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. CD Guanabana's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jorge Cayado 63 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-1. In the 67th minute, Domingo Viedes made a precise shot to the right of Valentin Mijares. UD Lagartera's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. In the 70th match minute, UD Lagartera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elkin Barrera to maneuver through the defense. Yambay Mateos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Xarles Burgoa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 82 played minutes, CD Guanabana's Oscar Olloque shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Valentin Mijares came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CD Guanabana reached it. Zuñiga Zamora struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Valentin Mijares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Guanabana. Valentin Mijares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Viedes in the 89th minute of play. CD Guanabana's Telmo Antecha got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. UD Lagartera's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
