Urdaspal Aviñante kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Omar Miralless short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Xalvador Rodas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 9th minute, Almendral's Omar Miralles dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 12th minute, Felix Villapun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute, Urdaspal Aviñante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Almendral's Omar Miralles slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Xalvador Rodas. That made the score 2-0 after 18 minutes of play. In the 24th minute Omar Miralles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xalvador Rodas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Omar Miralles's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Xalvador Rodas firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 28 played minutes, Guayaquil S.C.'s Diego Natos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Xavion Rulan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Guayaquil S.C. reached it. Xalvador Rodas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Miralles in the 36th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Omar Miralles in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xalvador Rodas saved Guayaquil S.C. from getting behind. Omar Miralles who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Xalvador Rodas when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Omar Miralles to make the kick off. Xalvador Rodas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Miralles in the 61st minute of the match. The supporters of Guayaquil S.C. booed when Almendral was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omar Miralles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Urdaspal Aviñante kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Omar Miralles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xalvador Rodas having to interfere. Omar Miralles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 85th minute of the match Guayaquil S.C. got a corner. Almendral's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ximun Balza ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ximun Balza made a great header on Guayaquil S.C.'s corner, it was just that Almendral's Xavion Rulan managed to reach the ball for a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Omar Miralles in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xalvador Rodas saved Guayaquil S.C. from getting behind. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Almendral had played much better football throughout.
