When Victor Agustino fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sandoval SC's protests and gave Victor Agustino a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th match minute, Sandoval SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Agustino to maneuver through the defense. Vernaza Panadero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Méndez Orgaz in the 9th minute of play. Vernaza Panadero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zilar Castelo in the 11th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Xavies Arneu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vernaza Panadero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Méndez Orgaz went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of CAIW booed when Sandoval SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stalin Blasini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hector Cavadas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the match, Sandoval SC's goal looked a bit too open when Méndez Orgaz came free, but Vernaza Panadero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 34 played minutes Sandoval SC got a freekick which was hit by Vilson Garza. In the 37th minute Hector Cavadas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vernaza Panadero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half CAIW were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rodríguez Ribeiro made a kick off. Victor Agustino was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 53 minutes into the match. The supporters of CAIW booed when Sandoval SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Agustino didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Sandoval SC's Vernaza Panadero got control of the ball when Zilar Castelo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 74th minute, CAIW's Lopez Sociats dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. In the 79th minute, Loco Crujeiras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sandoval SC's Vernaza Panadero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Cavadas in the 81st minute of play. Vernaza Panadero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Cavadas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zilar Castelo during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A sloppy throw-in by Rixon Armesto in the 87th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Sandoval SC's Stalin Blasini.
