The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Cotera Cañas made the kick off in the second half. In the 87th minute of the match, Cotera Cañas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Valentin Mijares saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Yambay Mateos fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UD Lagartera's protests and gave Yambay Mateos a yellow card for diving instead. After 88 played minutes UD Lagartera got a freekick which was hit by Yambay Mateos. Hernandez Pandal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
