Alvaro Arratia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Mariano Mogoruza hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 24thth minute of the game Xinto Artechevezuen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sao FC's Teofilio Ubago was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mariano Mogoruza's late challenge caught a Scuderia Ferrari CF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mariano Mogoruza helped the player get up and apologised. In the 24th match minute, Sao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Mogoruza to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, Sao FC's Mariano Mogoruza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alvaro Arratia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sao FC's Oscar Espejo got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hernandez Pandal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Arratia having to interfere.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Xinto Artechevezuen to strike the kick off in the second half. Scuderia Ferrari CF's Antonio Elorza got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 54 minutes into the match, Danilo Cangas notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Sao FC's Teofilio Ubago. Teofilio Ubago was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mariano Mogoruza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Arratia having to interfere. Sao FC's Teofilio Ubago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xinto Artechevezuen in the 61st minute of play. Teofilio Ubago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rey Griful, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the game, Hernandez Pandal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sao FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Scuderia Ferrari CF the free kick. Hernandez Pandal kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Xinto Artechevezuen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Scuderia Ferrari CF booed when Sao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Espejo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Xinto Artechevezuen sped through Sao FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Teofilio Ubago. If Oscar Espejo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Urtzi Valgoma's late challenge caught a Sao FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sao FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Scuderia Ferrari CF.
