Spectators: 7509 (Terracing: 5850, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 159) Rolando Peramato started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Victor Agustino fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sandoval SC's protests and gave Victor Agustino a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Guayaquil S.C. booed when Sandoval SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Agustino didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Urdaspal Aviñante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vernaza Panadero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urdaspal Aviñante in the 13th minute of play. Sandoval SC's Vernaza Panadero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Villapun in the 15th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rolando Peramato during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rolando Peramato hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Vernaza Panadero came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Guayaquil S.C.'s Rolando Peramato. But to his dismay, Rolando Peramato quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Urdaspal Aviñante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vernaza Panadero having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Rolando Peramato notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Sandoval SC's Vernaza Panadero. Vernaza Panadero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 33rd minute, Sandoval SC's Rodríguez Ribeiro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Rodríguez Ribeiro hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the match, Urdaspal Aviñante had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vernaza Panadero. Sandoval SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Urdaspal Aviñante was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Rodríguez Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xalvador Rodas having to interfere. A throw-in in the 47th minute of the game was made by Ubendu Caballeiro with Urdaspal Aviñante as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodríguez Ribeiro was the one to do the kick off. Vernaza Panadero came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Guayaquil S.C.'s Urdaspal Aviñante. But to his dismay, Urdaspal Aviñante quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. If Rodríguez Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 60 played minutes Guayaquil S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Xayveon Rua. In the 66th minute, Ubendu Caballeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rolando Peramato recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Guayaquil S.C. booed when Sandoval SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stalin Blasini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Loco Crujeiras's late challenge caught a Guayaquil S.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Loco Crujeiras helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sandoval SC's Loco Crujeiras got a free kick in the 75th minute. Ubendu Caballeiro made in the 85th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Diego Natos however managed to control. Guayaquil S.C.'s Rolando Peramato got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Rodríguez Ribeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
