After 5 minutes of play, CD Cutuntza's Xusto Zuloaga made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Miguel Quelia was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 11th minute Xusto Zuloaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Quelia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Santiago Mora dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Álvaro Montero, 1-2. In the 16th minute, Xusto Zuloaga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to CD Cutuntza getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Xavian Checa hit a great ball. Xayvion Brizuela kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Miguel Quelia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xusto Zuloaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miguel Quelia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tony Ewers in the 30th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Urtun Verganzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd minute Wellington Astola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Quelia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, CD Cutuntza's Tony Ewers nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Miguel Quelia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After some careless play in the CD KMIKC defense, Tony Ewers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miguel Quelia. The CD KMIKC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miguel Quelia should have stopped the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Xusto Zuloaga made a kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Xusto Zuloaga recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Miguel Quelia. Xusto Zuloaga showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. In the 61st minute of the match, Geovanni Abella tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Miguel Quelia saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. CD Cutuntza were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after CD KMIKC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Xusto Zuloaga took the corner. Maximiliano Valines's late challenge caught a CD Cutuntza's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maximiliano Valines helped the player get up and apologised. After 63 played minutes CD KMIKC got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Valines. Afonso Alvarenga lost his temper 66 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 66th minute of the game. One of CD Cutuntza:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of CD KMIKC:s goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Ewers in the 70th minute of play forced CD KMIKC's goalkeeper Miguel Quelia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Quelia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Geovanni Abella showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 71 minute of play. István Gácsi struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Miguel Quelia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Cutuntza. CD Cutuntza's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
