Urritz Labarra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yoel Miera, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The audience was convinced that Rey Carmona's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Urritz Labarra was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rey Carmona in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Urritz Labarra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 29 minutes, Rey Carmona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manta SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rey Carmona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ramón Viera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Costante Lujan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 31 minute of play. Dannes Cevallos kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, German Balado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 39th minute, Bustos Davalos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 41st minute, Rey Carmona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Urritz Labarra was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rey Carmona to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 77th minute of the match Moises Curcio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ramón Viera skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rey Carmona in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. When Rey Carmona came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Manta SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rey Carmona couldn't finish the play. Escobar Vicioso charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Escobar Vicioso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Bustos Davalos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
