Feliciano Natanael came out of the goal and Espinoza Samperio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Saicam FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Kléber Curbelo hit a great ball. Fabio Cañas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrzej Zagrodny in the 34th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Equidad's goal looked a bit too open when Ximenes Perrote came free, but Feliciano Natanael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Equidad's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Ximenes Perrote scored to the left of an out of position Feliciano Natanael, making the score, 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Peter Somonte stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mauro Albiz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabio Cañas having to make a save. After 57 minutes, Ximenes Perrote mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Saicam FC and the Equidad players grew even worse after the yellow card. Peter Somonte's late challenge caught a Saicam FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peter Somonte helped the player get up and apologised. Peter Somonte kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. If Ximenes Perrote had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bobby Dheedene could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Fabio Cañas made a huge save. Edwin Incera kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Andrzej Zagrodny hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the match, Bobby Dheedene had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabio Cañas. Saicam FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bobby Dheedene was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 93rd minute, Peter Somonte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Equidad played a much better game than Saicam FC and deserved their victory. The Saicam FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
